Rare antique Vive Camera No. 4, manufactured by the Vive Camera Company of Chicago in the late 1890s. This large format box-style camera was designed for 4×5 glass plate photography and features its original pull-out focusing hood with cloth sleeve, ground glass screen, and leatherette exterior.
A remarkable survivor from the 19th century, this Vive No. 4 is a highly collectible piece of photographic history.
