Antique red velvet autograph book with Album metalwork emblazoned across the front and gold edged paper. To Nellie with the earliest entries from 1885. Nellie it seemed retained the album throughout her life as entries appear as late as 1915.
The handwriting is simply gorgeous with entries that range from simple signatures to short poems. A sample entry: “In your golden chain of friendship regard me as a link." Joseph Walsh Bangor ME Dec 25 1885
Condition is very good considering old age of the piece. Some entries are a bit faded. Pages are yellowed from years and overall book does show normal wear commensurate with age. Overall very nice.
