Estimated 1930s-40s handmade stocking darning bag (I would put unmatched socks in it!). White cotton fabric with drawstring closure and embroidered text reading Darn the Old Stockings in dark grey, with embroidered stockings hanging from a line.
Good antique condition—there are a number of tiny holes to be expected with something this age that has been used and loved. Very slight discoloration by the bottom hem, no obvious staining. The drawstring might have an issue—it’s tied up and I haven’t tried to untie it and test whether it’s in working condition.
