The coin was minted in Amphipolis, Macedon, circa 180-192 A.D. (during the lifetime of Commodus!). Coin's obverse: Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus right. Coin's reverse: Tyche seated left, holding patera; beneath crescent and star. Very well preserved high relief portrait of Commodus! Reference: RPC IV 4246; BMC 119; Varbanov 3252.
