Origin and History: Introduced by Avon in 1975, the "1876 Cape Cod Collection" was their first venture into dinnerware, featuring a design based on an old Sandwich Glass pattern. The "1876" commemorates the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The glassware was manufactured by Wheaton Glass Company in Millville, New Jersey.
