- This blackberry requires about 300 hours of chilling to produce its early, large, and good-quality fruit. The berries have a delicious, slightly tart flavor, making them an excellent choice for cooking, jams, and other preserves.
- Care: For best results, plant in fertile, well-draining, slightly acidic soil in a full sun location, allowing adequate room for future growth. Supplemental drip irrigation is recommended. Do not prune until after fruiting, as blackberries bear fruit on their second-year canes.
- Indoor Growing: Not recommended. As a large, upright-growing fruiting bush, this blackberry is not suitable for indoor growing. It requires a specific dormant chilling period that cannot be met in an average indoor environment, making it an exclusive outdoor plant.
