This Nyanko-sensei (Madara) voice-activated piggy bank from Natsume's Book of Friends is estimated to be from the 2010-2013 period, possibly a promotional item from LaLa magazine. It was originally purchased through Yahoo! Auctions Japan.

The box measures approximately 17cm in height.

When a coin is inserted, Nyanko-sensei's voice is activated. The item has been stored with batteries, resulting in some minor corrosion in the battery compartment. However, testing with new batteries confirmed that the voice function operates without issue.
