- Double matting has .25 inch reveal. Mat opening is designed to fit an 8.5 x 11 inch document. There will be approximately one quarter inch of matting overlapping the document on each side (actual mat opening is 8 x 10.5 inches). The overlap is necessary to prevent the document from falling through the mat opening.
