Dormer's E621 metric machine taps can be used to create threads to suit helicoil inserts in many materials including stainless steels, steels and aluminium and are manufactured conforming to the International Standards Organisation (ISO). Made from High Speed Steel for longer tool life and superior performance, the taps have a bright finish which stops workpiece material from sticking to the cutting surfaces of the tool, ensuring a clean and accurate thread. E621 metric machine taps for helicoil inserts have a spiral flute for threading blind holes (holes which stop part way through the workpiece).
