John Hammond Jr., son of the legendary impresario and producer, grew up with all the greats around him and learned their techniques quite well, adding his own special licks. Dr. John is the legendary New Orleans keyboardist and singer who at the time of this recording had just had a Top 40 success with "Right Place, Wrong Time". The trio laid down this slab featuring a couple of original songs by Dr. John and covers of Little Walter, John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon and more.
