Large Specimen Ruby Tourmaline in White Quartz Matrix Sphere.
Size is about 4 inches diameter [105mm], and it weighs about 3lb 7oz [1565g].
Quite hard to find in this size.
Beautifully colored, the sphere is mostly white, with lots of color from the gray and black and ruby that's mixed in.
The coloring is uneven, with areas that show as mostly white, and smaller areas that present as much darker.
The distribution of the Ruby color is also uneven, making this a very interesting stone to hold [it is a handful] and view up close.
