*THIS CPU HAS BEEN DELIDDED!*
Delidding is a process that involves separating the CPU’s IHS (the metal part) from the PCB (the green circuit board). It has had its original thermal paste removed and replaced with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut, offering much better thermal performance right away. The CPU has already been reassembled and the IHS is back in place, meaning you’ll be receiving much better cooling with a fully functional processor.
This 8700K also has won the ‘silicon lottery’, allowing you to overclock to a high clock speed of 5GHz at a low 1.27V of power. Reaching 5GHz is already a feat for this processor, and reaching it at such low voltage while staying stable is even more impressive. If you purchase this CPU, it should be with intent to use the same (or better!) overclock settings as I have.
