Between them, a semitransparent plastic guard disc blocks surface arcing and doubles as a convenient grip stop. Inside, a precision 500 MΩ divider network provides a 10,000 : 1 ratio, so every 10 kV reads as 1.000 V on virtually any 10 MΩ multimeter—no special HV meter required. ±5 % accuracy is factory-verified across the full range. Attach the red (+) and black (–) safety banana leads to your DMM, clip the green ground lead to true earth, and you’re ready to measure, discharge, and verify high-voltage power supplies, electrospinning setups, ionizers, X-ray generators, Tesla coils, and more.
