Michihiro Hori "Petori-kun"
Signed Copy
This collection features works such as "Petori-kun," originally published on the website "Saijiki" by Michihiro Hori, a unique manga artist with experience as a lacquer craftsman, known for "Seishun Uruwashi! Urushi-bu."
Using a touch reminiscent of works like Sazae-san, the artist incorporates props like cell phones and email to create a sophisticated atmosphere. It's a reverse-chronology fantasy, depicting the past from a modern perspective where cell phones are commonplace, in contrast to the past when they were envisioned as futuristic dream tools like time machines.
According to the author, this book is meant to age gracefully and develop a nice patina as it sits on your bookshelf.
