NMD Hu "Pharrell - Black Future" GX2487

The Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu “Black Future” is one of several black monochromatic designs imagined by the Virginia native and adidas for the “Black Future” collection. Inspiration for “Black Future” stems from a quote Pharrell lent to TIME Magazine for an article titled “We Deserve a Black Future.” Adidas dresses the upper in a stealthy black sock-like Primeknit material that is both breathable and supportive in structure. Black speckled rope laces are held in place by a tonal TPU caging system anchored by midsole blocks. Two introspective slogans, “THOUGHTS” and “BREATHE,” are printed on the top of the left and right shoe, respectively. Co-branding dots the heel overlay. Adidas’s responsive Boost cushioning is painted black in this instance as a continuation of the model’s black monochromatic design. Release date: February 26, 2021.
