The RD40 is Hope's premium road bike wheel, built using Hope's RD40 carbon rim mounted onto the latest industry standard in hub design, the Pro 5.

The RD40 is a 700c carbon clincher rim designed do deliver high level performance and exceptional reliability. The strong monocoque carbon rim is tubeless compatible and is optimised for use with larger volume road/gravel/cross tyres.

The Pro 5 hub is the latest in Hope's renown hub design. Featuring best ever reliability, performance and ease of use.

• Increased engagement from 44 to 108 (from Pro 4) with a new offset 6 pawl freehub design
• New step down axle design for a stiffer more durable freehub
• New hub body profile for increased stiffness without adding weight
• Fully serviceable and rebuildable with simple tools
