Round Wire

Our Nitinol round wire is cold-drawn through a circular die, available in short lengths or full spools. Drawn, not rolled, ensures high flexibility and easy winding into intricate shapes. Heat treatments can set permanent shapes and modify properties. We supply black oxide and polished finishes, with other finishes available upon request. Nitinol round wires have vast applications, from actuators and springs to shape-changing art. Transition temperatures vary, offering superelasticity at 0-10C, softening in cool environments, and shape recovery upon heating.

• Transition Temperatures: - SuperElastic: 0-10C, SE - Springy and superelastic at room temperature - Air Temp: 20C - Soft in cool environments, changes to set shape at room temperature - Body Temp: 35C - Soft in cool environments, changes to set shape when held in hands - Standard Temp: 45C - Soft at room temperature, changes to set shape when heated to 45C and above - High Temp: 80C - Soft at room temperature, changes to set shape when heated to 80C and above
