Scarce Repunched Date Error 1843 Large Cent- Dramatic Fully Repunched “18” Date

For sale is a Rare Major Repunched Date Error 1843 Large Cent, with dramatic bold “18” Repunched numbers. 

The date, 1843, was repunched RPD by the US Mint at philidelphia on this Large Cent, this is the result of the original date being weak or mispositioned and the Mint then having to repunch the coins date multiple times.

This Major Repunched date resulted in the numbers “1” and “8” being especially well Repunched, and dramatic, the “1” in particular looks incredible with a full outline of the Repunched “1” next to the original “1”. 

This coins has obvious cleaning on it, on both sides, and various scratches throughout. Strong full date, strong bust with some minor details remaining. Please look at pictures for yourself.
