Back when things are actually made in the United States this was made by Home interior gifts which went in business in the 1950s and went out of business in 2008. This particular piece was in their first lineup and 1957 so it’s definitely one of a kind, and one of the oldest pieces of something that was actually made here in the United States. I found something that is 99.9% of the exact same thing which is probably poorly made and doesn’t have the same weight that is $500 brand new.
