STRIKING 1930s’ BLACK STRAW WIDE BRIM HAT WITH WHITE LACE TRIM UNDER THE BRIM

This striking black thin straw wide brim hat consists of a medium crown which is flat at the top and slanted forward. The wide brim tapers towards the back, and a surprising narrow scalloped lace trim is attached to the underside of it. The brim is edged in a double gathered grosgrain band. This is an outstanding piece of vintage fashion, showcasing the elegant millinery craftsmanship of the era.
